Summer Fruit Salsas (3 recipes)
Sweet, zippy and fresh, these 3 summer fruit salsas celebrate the sweetness of summer fruit and accentuate any meal!
Chipotle Salsa
- 3 Roma or heirloom tomatoes, seeded and diced
- 1/2 cup red onion, diced
- 1 tsp chipotles in adobo (I mainly use the sauce)
- pinch salt
- 1 slice lime, juiced
- 1 tbsp cilantro, chopped
- Edible flowers (such as nasturtiums) These have a peppery bite to them!
Pineapple Salsa
- 1 heaping cup diced pineapple
- 1/4 cup red onion, diced
- pinch salt
- slice of lime, juiced
- 1 tbsp chipped cilantro
- chipotle powder or smoked paprika, optional
- Blue Borage flowers, optional, for decoration (these often taste like cucumbers)
Peach Salsa
- 1 heaping cup diced peaches (peeled if you want, but not necessary)
- 1/2 cup red onion, diced
- pinch salt
- 1/2 clove garlic, minced
- slice of lime, juiced
- 1 tbsp cilantro, chopped
- 1/2 jallapeno seeded and diced small
- Edible flowers (like edible chrysanthemums, optinal)
Chipotle Salsa
Combine ingredients together, mix well, and taste for seasoning. You can adjust the chipotle to your taste. Decorate with nasturtiums, if desired.
Pineapple Salsa
Combine ingredients together, mix well, and taste for seasoning. Finish with a pinch of chipotle powder or smoked paprika, and borage flowers, if desired.
Peach Salsa
Combine ingredients together, mix well, and taste for seasoning. Feel free to adjust the jalapeƱo to your taste. Decorate with some edible flowers, if desired.
